Rather leave investing to the professionals?
If you like to have someone you trust take care of your retirement planning needs, the Vanguard Managed Account Program (VMAP™), powered by Financial Engines, might be right for you.

This service offers professional management for your investments in the plan. It will pick your funds for you, invest your money, and periodically make changes to your asset mix to suit your goals.

Each VMAP participant pays fees to Vanguard Advisers, Inc. (VAI), based on a percentage of assets in each account managed by VAI (excluding loan balances) according to the following schedule:

  • 40 basis points (0.40%) per year for the first $100,000
  • 30 basis points (0.30%) per year for the next $150,000
  • 20 basis points (0.20%) per year for the next $250,000
  • 10 basis points (0.10%) per year for assets over $500,000

There is a minimum annual fee of $60 per account. Mutual funds held in a participant’s portfolio are subject to the normal management expenses associated with ownership of mutual funds and other investments as disclosed in the prospectus. Such fees are paid at the fund or trust level and do not reduce the account level fees described on this schedule. Read this Financial Engines FAQ to learn more.
